I founded Shift Executive Coaching after realizing how few employers train their employees on how to advance — or shift gears — in their career. Who hasn’t felt at least a little cornered in their career? Or had a feeling their job could lead to something else, if only they could see it? Everyone's been there, even me.
As a former collegiate student-athlete, coach, and educator in secondary education, I learned valuable lessons in teamwork, communication, and leadership. I felt most fulfilled helping my students become leaders and unlock skills they would use for the rest of their lives. I found great satisfaction in connecting students with their personal strengths and unique gifts. These experiences ultimately helped me understand that my own career goals and ambitions were to help others discover new opportunities and potential within their reach.
I’ve spent the past two decades using my experience as a teacher, leader, and administrator to help dozens of individuals and organizations (such as non-profits, universities, athletic departments, etc) thrive. My ability to analyze and assess needs, help create unique solutions, and connect people with resources has helped my clients navigate poor internal leadership and reinvigorate the policies of entire departments.
From helping top-level administrators build trust with the communities they serve, to redefining the organizational structure for entire departments, I have guided many down the path to success — and more importantly — fulfillment.
